Community Recreation Worker

(Casual/On Call)

The Town of Petawawa is currently seeking enthusiastic, energetic individuals for the casual on call position of Community Recreation Worker to implement and supervise recreation based programs.

Description of Position:

• Implements, sets up and supervises recreation programs for program participants
• Assists with the integration process for participants with special needs
• Maintains ongoing favourable public relations

Qualifications:

• Experience in recreation service delivery
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to resolve problems, determine requirements and provide solutions
• Effective interpersonal skills, and an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Must be dependable, thorough and self motivated
• Must be able to work well independently or in a group situation

Length of Term:  Ongoing - contracts generally run three to six months in length

Rate of Pay: $17.33 per hour
