Community Ambassador - Summer Employment
The Town of Petawawa is currently seeking a responsible, enthusiastic and outgoing Community Ambassador to support programming initiatives for the Recreation, Culture & Tourism Department and Economic Development Department.
Description of Position:
- Active involvement in the operation and delivery of workshops, programs and engagements
- Provides vendor support for the Petawawa Container Market
- Provides development and implementation of various recreation programs
- Takes activity photography for use in marketing and publicity materials
- Facilitates activity set up, clean up and overall program facilitation
- Animates and oversees organized programs, workshops and play-based engagements
- Prepares post-engagement debriefs noting event details and statistics
- Assists Town staff with general event duties
Qualifications:
- Experience organizing and facilitating workshops, events and play activities
- Exceptional customer service, friendly and service-oriented attitude
- Self motivated and able to work independently
- Able to work with all ages from children to seniors
- Physical ability to participate in site set up and tear down functions, including moving tables, chairs and bins of materials, and setting up tents and signage
- Current First Aid & CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are assets
Hours of Work:
- May 24 - June 29, 2025 (14 hours per week - weekends)
- July 2 - August 31, 2025 (35 hours per week - Wednesday - Sunday)
- Position will be located at various outdoor greenspaces and the Petawawa Container Market. Hours will vary based on program need, but Fridays and Saturdays will align to facilitate market hours.
Rate of Pay: $18.01 per hour.
