Water Interruption Notice - Wednesday, May 22, 2024 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Due to work being done on the Town's water distribution system in the area of Wolfe Avenue, the water supply will be interrupted on Wednesday, May 22nd between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in order to facilitate the replacement of existing faulty valves.
Affected residents are advised to run the cold water tap from the laundry tub (preferred) or the cold water tap from the kitchen sink for 10-15 minutes after the water has been returned to service.
Please Note: Temporary water interruptions may require rescheduling if weather conditions are not favourable.

The Town of Petawawa has contracted Do-All Construction for the Rehabilitation of Wolfe Avenue from Victoria Street southerly to Garrison Petawawa South Townsite (a distance of 0.5 km). The project is scheduled to begin construction in May 2024 and is anticipated to be completed in July 2024.
The project works will include paving and grading, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, multi-use pathway, storm sewer improvements, sanitary sewer improvements and sanitary sewer rehabilitation by cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPP), water system improvements, landscaping, site restoration and line painting.
Road closures will be required to complete the work. Detours will be put in place. There may be periods when access to driveways will be restricted (asphalt paving, new pipeline installation, etc.), however, the contractor will provide affected residents with as much notification as possible.
Properties located adjacent to the limits of construction will receive a notification from Englobe, on behalf of Do-All Construction requesting authorization to complete a pre-construction inspection of their private property. Property owners are encouraged to schedule this free inspection prior to the start of construction, and should be advised that these inspections will only be performed at the discretion of the individual property owners or their representatives. This inspection is completed to provide a baseline of the condition of the house prior to the commencement of construction. It would only be referred to should a resident feel that damage was done to their house as a result of the construction activity.
The engineering firm of Jp2g Consultants Inc. has been retained to complete the contract administration and on-site inspection services required by this project. Road Closures
Wolfe Avenue will be closed from Victoria Street to Mohns Avenue from April 29, 2024 to May 31, 2024. A detour will be put in place to access Wolfe Avenue, from Mohns Avenue to Garrison Petawawa property.
Wolfe Avenue, from Mohns Avenue to the Garrison Petawawa property will have at least one lane open to through traffic, with traffic control as necessary.
