Where can I operate my ORV?

ORVs may be operated on the established designated routes in the Town of Petawawa. Operating an ORV outside of the designated routes is subject to enforcement by the Ontario Provincial Police and the issuance of fines. Fines range from $250.00 to $405.00 plus additional fees (victim surcharge and court costs).

The Algonquin Trail Off-Road Vehicle Access Route is for Petawawa residents who live on the designated residential streets to access the Algonquin Trail from their homes and vice versa, without having to trailer their ORVs. It is an offence to operate an ORV on the Algonquin Trail Off-Road Vehicle Access Route if the destination of the ORV is other than the operator's/person's place of residence or the Algonquin Trail.

ORVs may be operated on the Algonquin Trail (a trail permit is required).

The Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail offers an online map showing the OVRT and K&P Recreational Trails.

The Ontario Federation of All Terrain Vehicle Clubs offers an online map showing all OFATV Trails. A trail permit is required.
