Town of Petawawa Fire and Emergency Services Conducting Ice/Water Rescue Training
January 22, 2025 - For Immediate Release
The Town of Petawawa Fire and Emergency Services will be conducting ice/water rescue training evolutions over the next three weeks. These training sessions will take place in the Petawawa Point area, both during the day and at night, and are designed to enhance the skills and readiness of our emergency personnel in responding to ice-related incidents.
This hands-on training is crucial for ensuring that our firefighters are fully prepared to respond to ice/water rescues which can occur during the winter months. The scenarios will simulate real-life emergency situations, providing firefighters with the opportunity to practice techniques that can save lives in critical situations.
