Petawawa Recognizes Paramount Kitchens for 42-Years of Business

The Town of Petawawa has recognized a long-standing business for their contributions to the community. Clarence Barink and Joanne Watts, owners of Paramount Kitchens, are celebrating their retirement and closing their business after 42 years. Since opening their doors, Paramount Kitchens has built a strong reputation for craftsmanship, quality service, and dedication to local homeowners and businesses.

Gerry Barink started Paramount Kitchens in 1984 in a small workshop and eventually relocated the shop to its present location at 2871 Petawawa Boulevard. When Gerry retired in 2000, he passed the torch onto his son Clarence and daughter Joanne, keeping Paramount Kitchens a family owned and operated business. Clarence and Joanne announced their retirement in January of 2026.

To recognize their longstanding commitment and contributions to the community, Town of Petawawa Mayor Gary Service, Deputy Mayor Theresa Sabourin and Councillors James Carmody and Karen Donovan joined representatives from the Petawawa Business Advisory Network and the owners of Paramount Kitchen for a brief recognition and photo opportunity on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026.

Clarence and Joanne have played an important role in helping shape homes and spaces throughout the community while contributing to Petawawa’s local business landscape.
