Petawawa, ON – On Wednesday December 4, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., the
Town of Petawawa Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on Sack
Road. All occupants exited the home safely, and there were no injuries. The department
responded with 16 firefighters and five apparatus to bring the fire under control, and it is
contained at this time.
The crew arrived to a fully involved structure fire in the attached garage with the fire
extending to the home. Fire crews will remain on scene. Unfortunately, the home is a
total loss, and its cause is currently under investigation.
Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police, Garrison Petawawa Fire
Department, and Hydro One also attended the scene.
