Notice of Complete Application


In the matter of Sections 17, 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, the Town of Petawawa hereby gives NOTICE OF THE FOLLOWING:
i) An application for an amendment to the Town of Petawawa Official Plan
ii) An application to amend the Zoning By-law 456/07 of the Town of Petawawa.

Subject Lands: Lots 11 and 12 and Part of Lot 13, Concession 4, as shown on the attached key map

A public meeting has not yet been scheduled for this proposal. A public meeting will be held at a later date and additional notice will be issued prior to that meeting in accordance with the Planning Act.

Proposed Official Plan Amendment

The purpose of the proposed official plan amendment is to redesignate a portion of the subject lands from Rural to Mineral Aggregate Resources. If approved, the amendment will facilitate the establishment of a Class A Pit and Quarry below the groundwater table.

Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment

The purpose of the proposed zoning by-law amendment is to rezone a portion of the subject lands from Rural (RU) to Extractive Industrial – Exception Three (EM–E3). The proposed EM-E3 zone will allow extractive uses and contain other specific provisions to permit the establishment of a Class A Pit and Quarry below the groundwater table.
