BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW 257/2003

BEING A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATING OF PARKING, STANDING AND STOPPING ON HIGHWAYS OR PARTS OF HIGHWAYS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PETAWAWA AND ON PRIVATE AND MUNICIPAL PROPERTY

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Petawawa wishes to amend By-law 257/2003 being a by-law to provide for the regulating of parking, standing and stopping on highways or parts of highways under the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the Town of Petawawa and on private and municipal property;

NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PETAWAWA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. That Part 3, PARKING – DESIGNATED ZONES, of By-law 257/2003, be amended by adding thereto the following: “3.10 Fifteen (15) Minute Parking Zones Where signs are erected indicating “Fifteen (15) Minute Parking”, no person shall park for a longer period than designated by such signs on any of the highways named or described in Schedule “C” to this by-law, on the side or sides of highways during the times and/or days set out in said schedule;”
2. That the existing Schedule “A”, NO PARKING ZONES, attached to By-law 257/2003 be removed in its entirety and deleted.
3. That Schedule “A”, NO PARKING ZONES, attached hereto, be inserted as the new Schedule “A”, NO PARKING ZONES, to By-law 257/2003.
4. That By-law 257/2003 be amended by adding thereto Schedule “C”, FIFTEEN (15) MINUTE PARKING ZONES, attached hereto.
5. That this by-law shall come into force and take effect following third reading.
