BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW 174/01

BEING THE ANIMAL CONTROL BY-LAW

---

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Petawawa deems it expedient to amend the animal control by-law;

NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PETAWAWA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. That the existing Schedule “A” attached to By-law 174/01 be removed in its entirety and deleted.
2. That Schedule “A” attached hereto, be inserted as the new Schedule “A” to By-law 174/01.
3. That By-law 849/13 be hereby repealed.
4. That this by-law shall come into force and take effect immediately upon the passing thereof.

SCHEDULE “A” TO BY-LAW 174/01

ADOPTED BY BY-LAW 1315/19 ON DECEMBER 16, 2019

1. CAT IDENTIFICATION TAG-FEES

a. First Application (for newly purchased/adopted or obtained cats)

New cats obtained January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020:

* Unsterilized Cat: $15.00

* Spay/neuter Cat: $10.00

b. Renewal (for all previously recorded/owned cats)

Renewal applications January 1, 2020 through February 28, 2020:

* Unsterilized Cat: $15.00

* Spay/neuter Cat: $10.00

c. Renewal applications March 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020:

* Unsterilized Cat: $30.00

* Spay/neuter Cat: $20.00

2. DOG LICENCE – FEES

a. First Application (for newly purchased/adopted or obtained dogs)

New dogs obtained January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020:

* Unsterilized Dog: $25.00

* Spay/neuter Dog: $20.00

b. Renewal (for all previously licenced/owned dogs)

Renewal applications January 1, 2020 through February 28, 2020:

* Unsterilized Dog: $25.00

* Spay/neuter Dog: $20.00

c. Renewal applications March 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020:

* Unsterilized Dog: $50.00

* Spay/neuter Dog: $40.00

3. MISCELLANEOUS – FEES

a. Replacement tags (lost or stolen): $7.00
