Watermain Break Update– Intersection of Petawawa Boulevard and Bert Street
Petawawa, ON – Attention Petawawa residents: Town staff, Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) staff, and contractors continue to work toward resolving the watermain break at the intersection of Petawawa Boulevard and Bert Street. Crews worked through the night to isolate the 18-inch watermain and at 2:30 am, excavation started. As of 7:00 am this morning, crews are working to expose the area for repair and additional resources are being mobilized. We are currently dealing with several residential and commercial properties without water in the vicinity of the watermain break. Town staff are in communication with those affected and drinking water is being delivered.
There is no boil water advisory at this time. The Town is in contact with the Renfrew County District Health Unit.
Traffic delays can be expected. Please use alternate routes when possible. Detour signage is posted.
