The Public Works Department is responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of the Town’s infrastructure. This includes roads, sidewalks, water treatment facility, water distribution system, wastewater system, stormwater systems, and our waste management curbside program, as well as capital projects that support sustainability and community development. Key initiatives include our winter control policy, asset and energy management, proactive preventative maintenance and future active transportation planning. Recently the department has grown to include Civic Properties, which is responsible for the maintenance, assessment, construction, future growth and longevity of all of the municipal buildings owned by the Town.
